Chapter 12

The ending wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It's a typical needing because at the end they get saved even though Piggy and Simon had both died in the novel. Ralph had proabbakt cried a sign of relief. I desipte Hack the most due to his self control. I would recommend this book to a friend because of how they have there personalities change throughout this novel.

Chapter 10 and the corresponding questions

1. Ralph had knew that they had killed Simon. On the other hand, piggy kept saying it was an accident. During there play , the incident was on them even though they kept trying to cover up. "It was an accident, said Piggy suddenly, that's what it was an accident." (Golding 157) " We left early " (Golding 158)

2. The difference between both jack and Ralph was that Jack doesn't feel an ounce of guilt at all because Simon was the beast. (Golding 160) Ralph was different from Jack because he couldn't recognize Simon at all and therefore saw him as the beast in disguise.  (Golding 160)

3. I feel as jack is more open minded and ruling to the boys feeling like he can demand them to do whatever he tells them to. "He's going to beat Wilfred" (Golding 159) as Robert had said.

Obviously now the chief is now Jack because he is like the head commander of the island.

Editorial Response , Ebola

1. Betsy McCaughey problem in her commentary is the more training and more protective gear for hospital staff. The CDC is encouraging states to designate certain hospitals for Ebola preparation.

2. The solution she offers is that we should expand capacity at our nation’s four bio containment hospitals so we could treat Ebola patients without having the virus spread to the workers.

3. The infection expert Sean Kaufman view the CDC’s guidelines for protective gear in treating Ebola patients as patients to be very irresponsible and wrong since the person's skin is still showing.

4. The point that was made was to state how doctors and nurses should wear a full gear on to cover everyone of there part of their body while treating an Ebola victim.

5. I actually do agree with the recommendations. It's better to keep everyone safe then sorry. Keep the hospitals and people sanitized will not harm you but better off keep you clean.

B. As my mom read this , she agreed with the recommendations as well.

Op-Ed piece

Do you agree or disagree with teen abortion ?

Abortion is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. Yes, I get how as each year goes by the higher the teen percentage pregnancy is rating up.  I strongly believe how abortion is wrong in many ways though. I find abortion as if your killing your child even though it's within the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. How would you feel as when your older to have another abortion as you did when you were younger? Do you think that your opinions towards abortion then and now differ? If so how would things be different ?
Everyone makes mistakes , but getting pregnant shouldn't be counted as a mistake. It's a choice chosen by that person. The " child " shouldn't suffer just because of a " mistake " made by the parents. Abortion in this case is wrong and shouldn't even be an option in my opinion. It's not fair how people could chose abortion , kill the baby , and live on years later doing it all over again but this time keeping it.
Having a child may be a big responsibility especially at a very young age. As being a teen myself , I think. teens shouldn't have the option of abortion. Maybe if teens seen that abortion wasn't allowed they would stop making there " mistake " and be more careful about what there actually doing. This goes for adults as well. If you can't handle another human being, you shouldn't consider the things your doing is right.
Abortion isn't just a thing where you go through the process and later on forget everything that happened. Abortion should be taken more seriously. Have you guys ever thought about those child lives? Yes , I do get that aren't actually formed yet but it is a future live. What if abortion was availbe at 4 months into the pregnancy ? How would you feel about taking your baby's life away ? I believe if your pregnant you should go along and go through what everyone else goes through in pregnancy. It's not fair just to see abortion as an option.
Therefore I strongly don't believe in abortion. It's a cure thing to even think about doing. Abortion in my eyes isn't seen as an option. If you can't handle what is up to come then maybe the choices you make in life should be different. It's not " cute " or " cool " to be known as a pregnant teen who is giving up for abortion. Saying that was just a " mistake " is just an excuse. Everyone needs to learn the difference between mistake and excuse . Not everything you do is a mistake. Therefore teen abortion shouldn't be allowed , as well for adults.

The joy of luck club essay

                    The joy of luck club
In the novel, "The Joy of Luck Club" by Amy Tan tells a couple different stories about mothers from China who have there daughters in America. The mother, Suyuan Woo had a big impact on her daughter Jing-Mei. Even after not getting along, Suyuan had to fill in for her mothers spot after she had died. In order to pay back what her mother had gave her, Jing-Mei decided to fulfill her mothers legacy.
Throughout the doubts and all the thinking, yes I do believe Jing-Mei did succeed to fulfill her mothers legacy. Her mother, Suyuan legacy before she died was to go look for her twin daughters back in China. She wanted to catch up and fill them in with everything that's been going on. Before her mother had even had a chance to plan it, she didn't make it. Her mother had died before getting to go back to China to reunite back with her twin daughters.
Jing-Mei had felt it was important to go after her mothers legacy and so what she wanted to do when she was till here. Finally one day, Jing-Mei had got in contact with her sisters and was glad they had responded back to the letter. Later on she was then in China with her two long lost twin sisters she had finally met. Remembering the reason why she had went, she felt as if it was her job to tell her sisters about her mothers death. She felt that they had every right to know what happened to "their" mother as well.
Being in China was different for Jing-Mei. It was her first time going. I can't say I can relate, but I can just imagine how she feels going alone after her mothers death. Accomplishing her mothers goals is what she planned on achieving. After being in China and learning more about her twin sisters, she seen how she related to them.
Jing-Mei experience in China was as planned. She was more then glad to have fulfilled her mothers legacy. In China, she had seen how she was part Chinese. The trip had made her realize what her mother wanted as for them "sisters" coming together and hanging out. It's different for them because Jing-Mei is an American and the other two twins are Chinese. Even though they are both different, they have the same cultures. At the end, Jing-Mei went back to America. She travels from time to time to catch up with her twin sisters. She always fulfilled and accomplished what her mother always wanted in life.
